About
We didn’t discover this market. We’re from it.
We spent years selling into dealerships — carrying territories the hard way. Cardinal Signal is the instrument we kept wishing we had.
Where this comes from
We came up selling into dealerships, and the lesson that stuck was the group. One person can carry influence across several rooftops — and the reps who saw that walked into rooms the others never got.
We worked territories blind. Stale lists, GMs who’d moved on, stacks we couldn’t see until we were standing in the showroom. Nothing on the desk was built to guide us.
So we built it — the instrument we kept wishing we had, made by people who did the job, not a database assembled from the outside.
How the data works, in English
Everything comes from what dealerships publish about their own businesses, joined at the rooftop and kept current. Every fact carries its source and its date.
See exactly how we know →The name
Cardinal, as in the directions — the fixed points you navigate by. Every territory has them: who runs the store, what tech the store runs, who owns it. Signal, as in the thing worth your attention once the noise is gone. Fixed reference, and a pointer to what matters. That’s the product, and that’s the name.
